Steven Gelsi's insight on the home page explains why original members of A City of Expression bring back the sunshine with iD's newest/oldest edition known simply as Yellow Edition Revisited. Please read Gelsi's article about Light and Music on the Blogs page to get the gist of the purpose of this edition.

Created by Michael Miller
A City of Expression was an arts organization

based in Jacksonville, Florida, and was the sponsor of iD Magazine in addition to many varied local art events throughout Jacksonville in 1991 and 1992 including the well-received Explosion of the Arts I and II street festivals in 5 Points.

Yellow Edition Revisited is dedicated to Clair Hartmann (the Creative Director of SPARK and iD Magazine, 1991-1992) along with the many other talented artists who are still and always shining light as members of A City of Expression.

Yellow Edition Revisited because...

The reincarnation of The Yellow Edition has been inspired by a middle-aged gentleman who was relaxing at a wonderful jazz band concert at The Jacksonville Landing in 2019.

This man was overheard asking for "a little bit of sunshine" on an overcast day, one of the final days the public could enjoy the now-demolished heart of downtown on the river.  The man needed light.

iD Magazine was sponsored by A City of Expression (ACOE), an arts organization created in 1991 within a growing and upcoming art community in Jacksonville, Florida. Original members are still artists and art activists like Brenda Kato Rase, Mark Gebhardt, and Steven Gelsi, plus newer creative member of ACOE truly remain alive and kicking!

Let's revisit and revive iD Magazine's first issue known simply as The Yellow Edition with the goal of elevating and spreading Creativity, Diversity, Equality, Happiness, Harmony, Healing, Hope, Humor, Joy, Justice, Laughter, Light, Love, Optimism, Peace, Praise, Sunshine, Unity, and Works of Art that are POSITIVE and UPLIFTING.

Eventually to be achieved in a stronger manner through a global network of local art magazines. HELLO, Sister Cities International with your annual Peace Concerts and YAAS Competitions.  Knock, Knock!  Please start a network of points of light on the Internet and improve connections between communities.     :-
